Wes Becton

Wes Becton, MBA, PCC is an executive leadership coach and business consultant.  Wes works with leaders across a wide range of industries who want to grow or who are feeling stuck.  Wes is a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) and is a member of the International Coach Federation (ICF). Wes earned degrees from Valley Forge Military College, George Washington University (BA) and Lewis University (MBA).

After graduating from GWU, Wes served as a platoon leader in the Demilitarized Zone in Korea and later as the Commander of the U.S. Army’s Honor Guard Company.  Wes then spent more than 20 years as a health care executive, leading multispecialty physician practices, surgery centers and working in academic medicine, eventually serving as the President of an ophthalmology practice.

Wes has significant governance experience and serves on a number of for profit and non-profit boards including as the Vice Chair of the Board of Trustees at Elmhurst University and was a former Chair of the Board of Trustees at Northeastern Illinois University.  Wes also continues to serve on the Boards of The Commuter Rail Board (Metra), New Directions Housing Corporation (Low Income Housing) and Pan American Bank.

Wes taught leadership and organizational behavior as an adjunct faculty member for 13 years at Lewis University and is also an active surveyor with the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care.  Wes is certified to administer DISC, EQ, Energy Leadership Index, and the Hogan Series (HPI, HDS, and MVPI) assessments as part of his coaching practice.

Wes and Ingrid have been married for 33 years and they have three adult children, a son-in-law and two granddaughters.  Wes is a frequent and passionate speaker and lecturer on topics that include leadership, diversity, and innovation.
